How often should bedlinen be washed?
Is once a week enough, is a fortnight too long? Skin and cloth happen to want the same thing.

A person sweats close to half a litre a night and sheds thousands of skin cells. Both settle into the cotton, hold moisture, and over time reduce how well the cloth breathes. Bedlinen is rarely as clean as it looks.
The widely accepted interval is weekly. In summer, in a warm room, or if you sleep hot, shorten it. In winter and a cool room you can stretch to a fortnight — but pillowcases always go more often, because they are in direct contact with your face.
A bedspread is not on the same schedule
A bedspread does not touch skin; it sits on top and takes the dust and sun for the room. Monthly is enough, plus once at each change of season. Washing it more often only tires the jacquard relief for nothing.
